Movement Meeting on the Arts of Reconciliation
PAPi (Performance Art Practice international) is an Amerta Movement based format, that invites all participants to contribute their own concerns, needs and working methods. The focus this year is on reconciliation.
I’ve been invited to join this year’s PAPi and will work on the theme of reconciliation in movement for one morning. The focus of my session will be on reconciliation with ourselves. What do we need to be in peace with ourselves? How can movement practice support us in this?
PAPi is inspired by MAM (Movement Arts Meeting), a longstanding international meeting of Amerta practitioners, which the School of Movement (Cologne) has hosted for a few years before it went on the road again. MAM 2025 is taking place in Ireland this year.
PAPi is largely held in an open space format, which allows time and space for all contributions and ideas to be shared. On the last day an audience is welcome to witness the working process and short performances.
